Emergent quantum phenomena is the central topic in condensed matter physics. While numerous quantum effects originate from many-body couplings between electrons and quasiparticles, it remains an open question whether spatially separated but proximally coupled systems can support long-range quasiparticle interactions and novel quantum matter. Our group investigates macroscopic quantum effects (superconductivity, magnetism, etc.) in coupled 2D systems by complementary electrical, optical, and magnetic methods, with interests spanning quantum transport, nanophotonics and 2D magnetism.
